Unfortunately that's far from the end of it; 11, is undoubtedly a reskinned 10, people agreed on this wholeheartedly because you could bring back the shell in almost a good condition, (My bad for repeating over and over again, but must get the point across) of course that also means same windows upd...

It's a given if you use 10 anyways, so either purify LTSC 2019 or just do the above and wreck the shell out; sure it's not ideal but what else can you possibly do?

Unfortunately don't have enough resources to keep a machine up for torrents, so you might want to start your way up from a barebones iso if that's the case, here: https://archive.org/download/win-7-pro-32-64-iso/win-7-pro-32-64-iso_archive.torrent if i recall, the above's iso follows this guide on u...

They surely were pioneers of their time, benchmarks were much more genuine and down to earth compared to the recent shows, wonder how much of that lasted with time. Very interesting share, thanks for the drop.

Weird, but at least it found it's way. About the earlier issue though, i believe this can be modified, essentially CSSing it but i don't know the element's name nor a documentation for this.

Yeah, they want to catch up with the GPU shortage to their advantage, people have been getting on the laptop bandwagon as of late cementing this theory even further.

The Wii had it's downsides but the Virtual Console really made it for some folks, sure it was filled with 6 dollar games but you had a chance to buy them on there in some form, even Commadore64 titles used to be there in some regions.

Ah, that's nice though certain sites have caught onto these old blockers, managed to outplay them and display ads, so you want to catch up on that front but not enough plug-ins are here to aid the cause.

From what i've seen, it's basically a closed source basic adblock that works for it's purposes but wouldn't pick it over ublock.

You don't have to reply when i'm above you but yes; it was by random when 1909 was near it's end of service date; made sure it wasn't abnormal background activity or the pivot software freaking out too. Regarding cleartype, when completely disabled, the system font becomes heavily pixelated and shar...

Looks like modern JS is an obstacle to it. Will take a look and will keep you updated about it. Works fine for me on the latest build as of now (52.9.0), here are the binaries for each: -64- : https://o.rthost.win/basilisk/basilisk52-g4.8.win64-git-20210508-e29e57e-uxp-e7e63565e-xpmod.7z -32- : htt...

It's fine you posted in the right section. Also, isn't that dump of a VM? I'm not really seeing your CPU getting a passthrough (Might be wrong though).

That's unfortunate, you could've at least tried persuading it but guess the choice is entirely on your hands after all. Well, it's probably on a minuscule scale compared to bulks that had existed there.

10 is utterly covered with these cases; in fact, just ran into one recently. It flipped the screen on a vertical orientation and turned off cleartype for no apparent reason. It's definitely not a 3rd party program freaking out because i didn't install anything prior to it. IME like i've said in the ...

Well, at least it didn't get the IME treatment. Wish microsoft could get their head straight with this, it was a disaster trying to fix it every now and then with updating the whole OS.

3d printing filament? it's common dude
Except that's definitely not the case. It's as far as classic storage gets.

You just post the link and it will automatically fetch it for you, or at least i would assume so. Or use ['img'].

You may proceed after you create a restore point, highly advised. Regardless, there are a lot of ways to debloat it, one of them is killing the default apps as mentioned before, things like gamebar, mail and the various other useless stuff with this script: https://github.com/W4RH4WK/Debloat-Windows...

I didn't pay any mind to a performance increase, if there is one. They said to ditch the VGUI (An extention internally developed for visuals such as the download statistics above i persume) and rely more on javascript along with plugins, and JS is known to suck system resources heavily. Kind of wor...

Have been informed by a friend of mine that the mentioned pages are getting a redesign to suit the rest of the chunky interface, and it doesn't really look to be a space saver, so be warned. Here's how the downloads one will look like: https://assets.vg247.com/current/2021/05/steam_updated_downloads...

Yes, compatibility will be lost so fast you wouldn't be able to see it. At best it will last about 2 years like 1809 and 1909 did but that's probably with caution.

That was only because tablets need a really optimised OS to not hamper their APU, and not the result of any geniune care toward the OS itself. The idea of a start menu could've worked if they just put effort but instead it came out incomplete, big tiles, lots of wasted space, barely usable for the P...

WIndows 8.1 is probably your go to for certain cases, as long as you don't bother with some 'nitpicky'ness that the hardware manufacturers throw at you sometimes, it's good for playing old/relatively new games on rather not so powerful machines. I might make a system image of 7 right now then upgrad...

Yes, 8.x is the one that introduced it after all; but make no mistake, you might find things that it 8.x won't run but 7 can so bear that in mind. But if I want to avoid that I can use LTSC. You would have to give up some games that won't run due to it being 1809, also some core features die out on ...
