Do you think when Google drops Chromium support for Windows 7 they'll drop 8.1 support at the same time just like they did with Vista when they dropped support for XP?
If they don't follow this tradition, I'll be swept back in shock. History shall repeat itself. Fortunately NT 6.x (especially 8.1) is far more similar to
10 than XP was to 7. So I'm sure Chromium rebuilds targeting 7 and 8/8.1 aren't be far off the horizon. I talked with the developer from Advanced Chrome about this and he said he'd do what he can, but he's uncertain about the complexity of such an endevor in the long run. Win32 seems far more enthusiastic about it though.
I'm expecting an easier time overall with Firefox/Waterfox. It's given me less pain in general these days. From the Waterfox sub:
There is, of course Pale Moon/UXP as well. Some quirky limitations, but not bad overall. Do remember to
correctly refer to emojis as emoticons though. Else you risk a terribly uncomfortable encounter with a certain local. Do abstain from mentioning XP/Vista x_x
