These are some older versions of Steam for whatever purpose you may need. They're somewhat scattered, with a bunch of empty spots, but it's the best that I know of.

which is the best verson?
I tested anywhere in 04-2024 to 03-2024 and it works but properties doesn't show up
02-13-2023 worked at first but the properties were compresssed and after booting for the second time it caused my windows explorer to restart constantly
and do i just dump it in my main install?

Not sure what the issue is or what you mean by properties, but if you're overwriting an old/new install things can get real buggy real fast.

Game properties in steam's GUI (one of the options when you right click a game), and i'm installing the older version steam on it's own folder.

Can you send a pic? Also can you test the latest client in the folder? It's what I'm running currently and works fine for me. I'll likely try one of those older builds in a VM to see what happens.

And the newest verson of steam isn't working at all, just the ads that shows up in the beginning (it's not the latest client in the folder but i'm letting you know):

I think it could be something wrong with your system since I've seen people using that client without issue. I'll try it in a VM tomorrow.

I actually just went for it, and it works fine in my test VM. How are you extracting it? The method I use is to tell 7-zip to extract them all to 1 folder.

It worked in my VM, I already restored an old snapshot so I don't have a screenshot to send nor do I want to set it back up again.

all i can guess it's maybe the graphics driver since i had to rollback recently, and that was the only software that affected windows.
also again when it comes to replacing the version of steam and rolling back, do i just dump the old files on the main steam folder?
